The International Foundation for the Martyrs of Ashura has succeeded in obtaining a special advisory status from the United Nations.

This evening, the final hearing of the International Ashura Martyrs' Foundation's application for UN advisory status was held at its headquarters in New York.

According to the public relations of the International Foundation of Ashura Martyrs, a meeting of the Committee of Non-Governmental Organizations of the United Nations Economic and Social Council was held this evening in New York time with the aim of reviewing the files of international non-governmental organizations that had formally applied for UN advisory status. During this meeting, which was held on September 1, 2021, the request of the International Foundation of Ashura Martyrs for a UN advisory position was re-examined, because in the last meeting on May 21, 2021, this request was asked by a representative with an unnecessary question. Who had asked for details of the foundation's meetings and interactions with other countries and international organizations, was postponed to this time.
Therefore, after answering the questions with details and documents, the Committee of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Economic and Social Council, without any objection or criticism, voted to approve the request of the International Foundation of Ashura Martyrs to obtain a special advisory position of the United Nations. .
